So, the pastor almost got towed away today…

and other funny stories from Clay today…

Of course, I am saying that with a tongue in cheek. As of late we have had quite a few people parking illegally in the Town Pines Court parking lot. Town Pines or TPC as it is aka’d, has 22 parking passes for the 22 homeowners. Those homeowners are the one’s who then have the discretion as to what to do with those passes. They can either use the pass for themselves or arrange some sort of usage by another party. It is limited to one pass per residence. This parking pass situation was put into place because we were being overrun by people who would use the lot and thereby prevent residents from having their spaces.

First, before we go any further, I have had my car towed away in the past because I didn’t have my pass so this rule applies to EVERYONE. I had to pay to have my car reclaimed from the lot. It is not enjoyable to take money out of your pocket. Money is a great motivator.

So, today there were a few cars in the lot that did not have passes. A call was made to the towing company, ABC Towing out of Odenton, the trucks showed up and the process began to have 2 cars removed. Now mind you when cars start getting towed people start making noise. Today was no different, there was a lot of noise created. As it turns out one of the cars that was almost towed was the local reverend’s vehicle. I say almost towed because I received a phone call from the tow company notifying me of the situation. There seemed to be a miscommunication that since the church owned the building that backed up to the lot that they were allowed to use the parking lot. They were stating they were unaware that first they weren’t allowed to park there and further, that they had no idea about the passes. So, being that they were servants of God, they got a warning.

TPC HOA, means business. We have worked very hard to protect the rights of those that live in the community and by no means is it our intention to be rude but, if you don’t have a pass you will get towed.

In other news:
Many have been hearing about the heavy duty police presence on Clay as late as result of the safe street initiative from the APD. I am okay with the situation and so, is about 90% of the people that I have spoke with about it. I have genuinely had conversation with more than 10 people in teh community about the action and everyone but, one have been in agreement with the what is going down. So, actually that figure would be higher than 90%, mathematicians where you at?

If you don’t know what’s going on there is a month long ID check going on down on Clay, so if you don’t got your ID don’t come back here. Is this the new world order? No, its the law. You can’t drive without a drivers license. Further, for those that are opposed that do not live in area like this you should first live in area like this and then form your opinion. This may make you feel like I am a bit of bad guy.

Oh well, next time you see me say hi to the bad guy.

Sorry to be short but, I am in cap raising mode but, needed to throw in my dos cents.

Btw, there are more Clay is Good stickers on their way. Don’t ask me where they came from because I have no idea but, apparently there are more popping up.

Peace and Respect,
Timmy

I am somewhat amazed at someone who is not an Annapolis native to have so much to say about what should go on around the Clay Street area. It is not enough that you have lived on Clay Street for what, a little more than a year?…….that you think you are the spokesperson for what is best or what is needed on Clay and Annapolis abroad. I would like to put you on notice about your disrespect of the Reverend, the “servants of GOD,” and the elders who print the Annapolis Times Newspaper (reference your attention to previous blogs). The REAL Annapolitans have had enough of your grandstanding. WE dont disrespect our elders, and you dont have the right to do so either. Let the people who ACTUALLY live here, and who has lived here all of their lives decide the future of Clay Street and Annapolis. We all know that you have ulterior motives, so why not let the people who actually care nurture Clay Street back to where it used to be.

I believe the video post where you said I was disrespectful of my elders at the Annapolis Times is this one, lets let the public decide who was truly being disrespected, listen and follow the video before commenting further (and I dont mind that you didnt leave your name or any means to contact you other than your veiled threat “putting you on notice” negativity):

And I don’t mind the fact you didn’t leave your name either but, I do want to make mention that I stand up here with my name and address on full blast. Everyone knows my spot. I am not scared of you.

  3. A.REAL.Annapolitan Says:

I did not write to you to intimidate you. But, to let you know that it is unacceptable to use negative descriptors about our elders.

soooooo the folks who care about Clay have made what kind of progress in “nurturing” Clay back to where it used to be…oh you must mean the “neighborhood watch” Clay had at one point in time…or those “security” guards that were placed in each community after we had that one summer where murder rates were up…yeh both of those helped…especially the “security” guards…because most of them were pulled off the “block” and put in a friggin uniform…much help that was….(sarcasm intended) ideas are constantly thrown around on Clay but nothing ever sticks…so when someone comes in and actually “thinks BIG” it’s an issue…let a black man come through with a half way decent idea and he’s just a nigga with a dream…a white man comes through and its gentrification…if someone wants to help…let them. What proof do u have that Timm has other motives? Let’s move forward…

and let me ammend what i just posted a little…so that we are clear…im not saying NO ONE on Clay has done anything…what I’m saying is that if the old way isn’t working…whats wrong with trying something new…whether you are from Annapolis or not…

A REAL Annapolitan, who still will not disclose who they are, and will happily hide in the bushes and launch their commentary. at least let us know who you represent or stop coming here, it is you who cannot be trusted. show your face.

i am not disrespecting elders. i am being honest.
