Clay Street Blast (11-08)
Clay Street News (Holiday Style)

OK, I’m going to switch it up a little bit. It’s time to go a little Martha Stewart and offer a few safety tips for the holiday. The ILiveOnClayStreet Staff want all of our readers to be safe and enjoy the holiday season. Here are a few things to keep in mind when shopping for my gift, err I mean when shopping….
1. Avoid wearing expensive jewelry
This means…fellas leave the Jesus pieces at home, and ladies keep the Tiffanys’ charm bracelet in the jewelry box. When you wear expensive noticeable jewelry you literally become a walking Christmas tree wrapped in lights and tinsel for criminals. We know you want to look good, but try to stay a little low key during this time.
2. Shop during daylight hours when possible.
If you have to shop at night (midnight madness…I know, I know…) then definitely bring a friend along. There is definitely strength in numbers. A criminal will feel more intimidated by the presence of two people rather than one.
3. Dress casually and comfortably
Ladies, we know you all love to stay fly, but this tip goes back to #1 (staying low key). Easy comfortable clothes allow better movement. Not only will you be able to move around more freely in the hustle and bustle of shopping, but you never know what you may encounter in the parking lot. That stiletto just may get you caught up, ma…
And finally…
4. Stay Alert!
Be aware of your surroundings at all times. You may be able to stop a bad situation from happening before it even starts.
I hope this helps. By all means, enjoy your holiday, but just remember crooks love the holidays just as much as you do. Be Safe!!!
Clay Street Entertainment (Holiday Style)
The journey has not been half bad (30 days no fast food). HOWEVER I have a moment here and there and I came across a commercial that describes EXACTLY how I feel when that happens. My inner Richard comes out….big ups to R. Simmons….still holding it down…hahahaha.
Be Easy
