“Get Free” by Edreys aka Billy Drease Williams

From our friends in the struggle by way of Buffalo NY, one of the hardest hit areas of our country in the foreclosure phenom, comes Deep Thinka Records a progressive label with a progressive new video from artist Edreys titled “GET FREE”. The brilliant song and corresponding video take a hard stand against the traditional black authority. For the past few years Hip Hop has been battling back against institutions and leaders who are seen as more part of the problem then part of the solution: the corrupt churches and their ego tripping pastors, the get money at all costs even if it means selling out your own hood record labels, and the Al Sharptons…to name a few.

Without further accolade please enjoy: “GET FREE” cuz we all got chains…

Have I mentioned to you that I love Hip Hop again…sleepers keep sleeping

We set things off in this multi cultural mash up around 10pm on the rooftop of Jerry’s Seafood, biggups to Jerry’s to give us the space…we had Clay Street, we had main street, we had the two cities discussing mergers, we had DJ Image on the wheels of steel spinning nothing but classic vinyl, we had video from the site up on the screens, we had the Deadly Venoms Crew tearing up the floor with their uprock style, we had QWali rocking a live accapella, we had an open mic freestyle session, we had free drinks from Van Gogh Vodka…DID I MENTION HOW DIVERSE THE CROWD WAS?
