Aight party people, what’s really good?   Clay is good right? 

Okay, now I have asked you all in the past to volunteer ideas, to join the social network, to come out movie screenings, to help clean things up. to decorate doors, to adopt a corner, to laugh a bit more, and to just about do all things Clay.  Now I am telling you, we need you this Thursday night. 

Stop what you are doing.  I really mean it, I trust you are detecting a slightly different tone in my writing. 

This Thursday night we need you to get some food and come down to the corner of Clay and West Washington Street at 630pm for a potluck dinner.  We are going to sit on the corner, eat, and reclaim the corner for those hours.   We need numbers, we need you there.  We are counting on you, I am counting on you.  If you know someone on Clay and you are reading this call them, tell them they need to be there.  If you don’t live on Clay and you beleive in what we are doing, you need to be there.  If you have been enjoying some of my Clay Street anecdotes, or you have been telling your friends about all the good things happening on Clay Street, Thursday night is the night to help make a stand.  We need your help, cancel your plans and come out.  The time is now and the place is the corner of Clay and West Washington for a potluck dinner. 

The Stanton Center is providing us with 3 tables and 24 chairs.  I expect us to fill them.

 CLAY STREET door decorating contest! 

This past Saturday many Clay Street residents took to getting their doors in shape for Door Decorating Contest.   There were prizes, laughs, and real togetherness exhibited by the community.  Bob Nichols captured much of the action with pictures including this one above, for more sneak inside the Social Network, that means double click on the brown tab (where it says Join Us) on the upper right hand side of this web page. 

 DONT FORGET THIS THURSDAY NIGHT, WE ARE KICKING OFF THE CLAY STREET SUPPER CLUB!   We are gathering on the corner of Clay and West Washington Streets to have a potluck dinner.  Come one, come all!   Cook up your favorite dish or your family specialty and bring it down, we are getting started at 630pm on Thursday night.  There will be tables and chairs, you can’t miss it!!!

What’s going on party people?  

Are you ready to kick the spring time into high gear?   Starting this Thursday night, May 1st at 630pm on the corner of Clay Street and West Washington Street we are kicking off the Clay Street Supper Club.  Yes, that’s right, the Clay Street Supper Club we are going to have a neighborhood potluck dinner.   So cook something up, bring a dish, bring some conversation, and come on down to the corner.   You will see us, we will have tables and chairs all set up. 

Oh, and don’t come down to the table to eat without bringing something, that’s not how the supper club works.  You got to bring something to the table to sit at the table you feel me?  This is what we call a cypher, a circle that works together.
