Fred Paone Wins in Ward 2

Fred Paone has won in Ward 2.   The Republican candidate who has promised to get tough on crime and to bring some common sense to the city council has won in a relatively tight election. 

Fred, congratulations.  I will have your phone number on speed dial.  Everytime something gets screwy back here I will call you.  So, expect several calls a day.  I will give you these holidays to relish your step into the spotlight.  Starting in 2008 its on and popping my man, by that I mean we are going to get to know one another very well. 

Alcoholics have a phrase they use to describe the moments prior to the realization that they needed to quit, its called the “moment of clarity”.    This is usually prefaced with feelings of “being sick and tired of being sick and tired”.  That is the vibe that I am getting from Annapolis residents and crime.  That came through in the elections here in Ward 2. 

 Before I sign off I want to send a special holiday shout out to Annapolis Wireless.  A big smile coming your way from Timmy Grins.  I’ll be calling you guys soon too.  We don’t get wireless web access here on Clay Street and the promise you made was that everyone within one mile of the harbor would have wireless.   Well, we are about 3/4’s of a mile away and free wireless web does not work here.   So, I will give you till 2008 to get cracking on that.
